hard side and soft side brush

i got a brush with a hard side and a soft side .. wondering how do i decide which side to use at times ?

hard side 4 when ur hair is 2 long 2 handle and soft after a cut..................but every1 is different cause i use a softy and i been wolfin 4 5 weeks

well im sorta new to the wave thing ... i haven't had waves for a month yet but people think i've had em for a few... found the brush today in my closet of junk and .. had to ask the question

i had a fro and was brushing it next thing u know boom waves on the cut day... that was 3 weeks ago. i use no products only some hair greese but it seems to be going well for my hair
