Joseph Charles – Oct 2013

Joseph Charles Joseph Charles October 2013is an excellent “skinny waver.” His hair texture is coarse, meaning he gets many skinny waves as opposed to a few wider ones. He has been helping fellow coarse hair wavers for months and has even written his own wavebuilding guide.

Wavebuilder: How long have you had waves?

Joseph Charles: October makes a year exactly that I took waving seriously. I have always had waves on top before but not on all sides.

WB: What is your wavebuilding method?

JC: My Wavebuilding method is comb once a day in my first session, apply my products, brush it in for an hour, equal strokes on all sides and Durag. Then in my night session I take off my Durag and brush straight away and if I feel my hair needs a lil more moisture, I apply it.
WB: What are your favorite WaveBuilder products?

JC: Spin’n Classic, it works great for me after fresh cuts, gives me shine and hold.

WB: What kind of brush do you use, and how many times a day do you brush?

JC: I use Dianes and CQP. When I was trying to get waves I brushed any free time I had but due to a tight schedule now I created a routine which is two sessions per day each consisting of an hour each, one in the morning and one at night and I try to put on my Durag for as long as I can.

WB: Besides building waves, what do you like to do?

JC: Besides building waves, I play table tennis and soccer.

WB: What do girls love about your waves?

JC: Actually, I have gotten so many compliments both from strangers and friends and most comments I hear from girls are I like your hair and pattern. I wave for the passion I have for it not to attract girls because since I started waving have learned to keep my hair clean and been hygienic in general.

WB: Any advice to wavers just starting out with their wave game?

JC:  Try not to measure your success by someone else’s, just remember that it takes some of us longer to reach our destination…Stay determined and dedicated to whatever you want and believe in yourself no matter what texture you got.Make the most of it and Stay Brushing.

WB: How’s it feel to be WAVE KING?

JC: It feels like an accomplishment. I set a goal and went towards achieving it. I give all the glory to God first because even though I don’t have the best texture, I still had the privilege to wave and again I want to say thank you to all that have helped me so far in waving and got my back, My team 1WN, 360waveProcess – Rashaad who got me started last year and my fellow wavers out their. Finally thanks to WaveBuilder for the opportunity to be a WaveKing. My inbox is always open for assistance. Thanks to you all. God bless!
