Ras ThaWaver – February 2016
WaveBuilder: How long have you had waves?
Ras ThaWaver: I’ve been serious waving for 2 years but I’ve always had waves.
WB: What is your wavebuilding method?
RT: My method is to start out by combing out my hair, than if I need product I’ll apply the product. Than I use whatever brush I’m using and I brush until I feel like I have made progress, I brush for quality sessions, not quantity(number of strokes).
WB: What are your favorite WaveBuilder products?
WB: Besides building waves, what do you like to do?
RT: Besides waving I go to school and I graduate with a Criminal Justice Bachelor degree in May 2016. I also like playing golf, basketball, and hanging with friends and family, also working.
WB: What do girls love about your waves?
RT: Girls love them and always ask to touch my waves. Some want to brush them, but when I let them brush, they do it wrong haha.
WB: Any advice to wavers just starting out with their wave game?
RT: For newcomers it’ll first be trial and error. You have to learn what products and brushes work for you. It also takes time and patience!
WB: How’s it feel to be WAVE KING?
I’m just here so I won’t get fined! I stopped running in June and scalped my hair, than started running again in October, I lost a few battles but to worthy candidates. Shoutout to the group @Elitespins on Instagram. Also to Racheal Boyd a former WK, she’s helped me a lot! There’s many others I could thank too. Follow me on Instagram and YouTube @rasthagreat. Thanks Wavebuilder, it feels great!
