Wavebuilder: How long have you had waves?
Macjay995: I’ve always had waves…didn’t get serious about it til 2017!
WB: What is your wave building routine?
Macjay995: Having a steady and consistent wash schedule….using quality products (beneficial for healthy hair) and brush in between wash days for better results overall.
WB: What are your favorite wave building products?
Macjay995: Mr oils and Butters…My fluffy puffs..Royal Hair Care...those are just a few of my main go to products...but I try to get everybody a shot if the ingredient list is right.
WB: What kind of brush do you use, and how often do you brush?
Macjay995: I started off like anybody else using regular dollar store Annie brushes (some are nice) but once I got into the wave game I leveled up and started using higher quality brushes i.e Torino pro, Royalty (discontinued) ..and tbh I’m a lazy brusher, I don’t brush as much as I should do to work but I do get maybe two 15-20min sessions in a day…someone starting off should definitely brush longer (if time allows).
WB: Besides building waves what do you like to do?
Macjay995: spend time with family & friends…really that’s about it and enjoy the wave community.
WB: What do girls love about your waves?
Macjay995: Girls love the swirl wavers…that it that’s all...lol
WB: Any advice for those just starting out?
Macjay995: Patience is key (say it 3 times)…keep a vision and focus in mind...everything that work for the next might not work for you...learn your hair…wave within your budget!
WB: How does it feel to be Wave King?
Macjay995: Feels great to be recognized for something that you have grown to love. This is a new experience for me and privileged to be this month's wave king 2021.
